Consecutive Translation

In consecutive interpreting (CI), the interpreter starts translation process when the source-language speaker pauses or finishes speaking. Consecutive interpreting process is divided into segments, and the consecutive interpreter sits or stands beside the source-language speaker, listening and taking notes as the speaker progresses through the message. When the speaker finishes speaking, the consecutive interpreter renders a portion of the message in the target language.
